Negli anni ’70 nasceva a Cleulis il Trio Pakai, formato da Amato Matiz detto “Pakai” alla fisarmonica, Genesio Puntel al contrabbasso, Paolo Morocutti alla chitarra. Il successo del trio – che con Stefano Paletti, la voce, in breve diventa quartetto – è strepitoso. Hanno fatto ballare e sognare migliaia di friulani in Italia e nel mondo: Europa, Canada, Stati Uniti e Sudafrica, e inciso numerosi dischi. A quarant’anni dalla morte di Amato Matiz, un evento celebra il Trio, la cui storia è stata raccolta nel volume di Alessio Screm dal titolo Pakai. Il trio che si è fatto in quattro (Nota editore), presentato a vicino/lontano mont 2023.
Domenica 21 settembre, a Cleulis, dopo la Messa delle 9.30 nella chiesa parrocchiale di Sant’Osvaldo, alle 11.00, all’entrata del paese, verrà inaugurato il murale dedicato al Trio Pakai e a Stefano. Dalle 12.00, dentro e fuori il Bar Pakai, il Trio verrà ricordato in allegria con la libera partecipazione di musicisti, suonatori e gruppi musicali. Per tutta la giornata si potranno assaporare i piatti della tradizione carnica.
