Un dialogo tra due generazioni di donne, autrici e voci in diaspora, che ancora troppo spesso si tende a etichettare come categoria “altra” nel vasto universo editoriale italiano. Le curatrici hanno dialogato con nove autrici che si sono raccontate per ragionare collettivamente sui loro intrecci linguistici e culturali, sulle relazioni complesse con il mondo editoriale, sui limiti delle categorie identitarie, sulle potenzialità dei nuovi social media, sul potere della letteratura, sulla possibilità di delineare – grazie alla scrittura – nuove strade che sembravano impercorribili. Per raccontare la bellezza oltre la sofferenza e nell’opportunità dell’incontro, per tracciare insieme nuove poetiche del divenire.
Scritti dalla Città Mondo è una rassegna organizzata dall’Ufficio Progetti Interculturali, Reti e Cooperazione del Mudec, che coinvolge le associazioni e le comunità diasporiche in un ciclo di presentazioni letterarie e reading. Dal 2013 un evento inclusivo e plurale che invita il pubblico a leggere oltre i luoghi comuni, a conoscere nuove letterature, con un intenso programma che esplora la complessità della città attraverso saggi, narrazioni, poesie e musica. Riflessioni ed esperienze che raccontano l’identità, la storia e i processi di rappresentazione transculturale in corso in una Milano aperta al dialogo e alle sfide della contemporaneità.
